Finished reinstalling my air filter.

Bonus: Either a track or riced corvette. I'm guessing track with some amazing straight pipes. Sounded mean.

Nice. Any other mods to your E90 or E92?

Pretty large spoiler and straight pipes either equals bad ass track car or American ricer here. I'm pretty sure this was a bad ass track car though. Just noticed the brake ducts, definitely a track car. Do you know if it's a z06 or a regular c5?

Very cool. Whose kit are you looking at?

Ess as Ind Distribution is close to me and I'd like close by tuner support. Probably either a 625 or 550 kit. My goal is ~500 whp and both can get me there.

Thanks but don't wait. It'll be a while as I'm currently preoccupied with this. My goal is a comfortable 350 whp for my dd saab 92x.

Might be track ready. It looks pretty clean for the most part besides the spoiler.

Which filter is that? I have the green filter from Active. Reminds me of the hulk lol. Btw there's a guy here who had epic problems with the ESS kit and software. Would be happy to put you in touch with him before you shell out for a blower. I have a good friend who had an Active stage 2 kit on his 09 E90 DCT and I got to drive it. It was...unnecessary.

Macht schnell, I wouldn't get it again though as changing the adapter is a pain. I've heard of a few issues with the ess kit but there is so many of them it's expected. I've heard of many more people with no issues too. Actually when I was first shopping for my m3, I almost bought a stage 3 aa car but I missed it by 2 hours. I'm still open on choices but really it's down too the most popular and most supported kit to me. Having a engine that can rev to 8400 rpm is also unnecessary but it's what I like.

Hatchback glass = regular C5. The Z06 was the fixed roof coupe body style.

Can't believe I'm saying this but reg c5> z06 in the looks department. But thanks for teaching me how to tell the difference.

There was also a non-Z06 fixed roof coupe. Other ways to spot a Z06 are the brake ducts, and badges above the front fender vents. Although people have been known to add those rear brake ducts to non-Z06es.

8,500! =P

You know, it's funny, when I had my 335 I was all about tuning and cranking up the boost etc but with my M as soon as I drove it on the track I've spent all my fun money on registration, tires, insurance, camber plates, harnesses... Totally obsessed. It's so hard to learn the limits of this car, I think if it had more power it'd kill me. My friend with the AA blower took his to the drag strip. Apples and oranges, but he really had a blast too!

Too complicated, I'll just look for the roof and badges and just wing it from there. I always liked the c5 and now there prices are at dd/beater now. I wonder if I can slam it use it as a snow plow.

Yeah I've driven both base and Z06 C5s. I don't mind the roof on the Z06, and it's a hell of a fun car. The base is really kind of a cruiser. Tall gearing and somewhat soft suspension. If you prefer the fastback style, I would try to find one with the Z51 package, which has a stiffer suspension and shorter gearing.

Also, the Z06 rear brake ducts are super easy to spot. See that black plastic thing in front of the rear wheel? Brake duct.
